For the launch of Blue Diamond’s Super Bowl marketing campaign, we developed a Facebook app that brought the game to life on the screen. “Kick up the Taste” included a fully functional flash game where fans were able to kick a football through a field goal in order to get a coupon for Blue Diamond Almonds.
The app was integrated into a 3rd party coupon generator API so that users wer able to print usable coupons. The fun didn’t just stop with a discount on almonds; fans were automatically entered into a sweepstakes where they could win a cash prize and a year’s supply of snack nuts.
The project was a very short turnaround with only 3 weeks from kick-off to the launch of the application on their fan page.
This application was launched when Blue Diamond first opened its Facebook page and helped generate the pages first 50,000 fans and received over 28,000 entries.
